M17x R3 questions about heatsink

I have seen ppl talk about putting better paste on the cpu. Can someone provide a link to the best product for this and how to do it. I searched for replace cpu paste but didn't find anything.

 

There are a plethora of great cpu pastes out there. The old Artic Silver 5 is a classic that still runs with the big boys. Honestly, even comparing it to the best of today, there might be 1-3 degree C difference at most. If you want the absolute best, I believe Artic MX-4 beat out Noctua and Gelid GC-1 and its predecessor MX-3, which were the forerunners in 2010. I don't know if there is going to be a new batch of pastes in 2011, but like I said, the difference from AC5 wont be much, and from MX-4 differences will be almost nonexistent if any.

i've used mx-3, mx-4 and ocz freeze and all has worked well, and is easy to apply.
