    M17x R3 sata 6Gb/s?

    Just a question, because google let me down, does the m17x r3 support SATA 6Gb/s?

    Yes but alot of drives cannot saturate that interface, so 3GB/s should work fine....

    Ah, thank you. Yeah i know 6Gb/s isnt popular right now. But i plan on having this system for a while so i hope to see 6Gb/s drives appear in the (near?) future.

    For the R3, you need Bios A08 and you want the fast drive (SSD) in Port 1 instead of Port 0 to get SATA III speed. Some people see Port 0 dropping back to SATA II speeds sometimes. Port 1 always stays at SATA III. Port 1 is the hard drive bay in the center of the laptop, not the one near the side of the laptop.
