    Hello guys.. for 2 months i bought m17x r3, i just realised that i have a prob with webcam. first, when i skype with my friend, they can see me but i cant see them. the image was divided into parts which make me so difficult to see them. can any1 tell me why?

    second, my frnd cant hear what iam saying but i can hear them. pls some1 help me to solve this problem. pls tell me steps wt to do.. much appreciate for help

    If they can see you then your cam is working fine mate, the problem is at their end.

    As for the microphone, make sure you have it enabled in your sound options or set to the correct output on your skype options.

    My cam is fine.. but i think my laptop got prob coz i cant see them.. my friends skype just fine.so it is impossible that my frnd got prob. :( sad

    Sounds like its a software problem(skype) and not a hardware one. Have you tried talking to other people and seeing if it works? If it still doesnt work, try reinstalling it.

    Edit: looks like other people are having the same issues as you in the m18x forums. If they find a sure fix ill let you know ;)

    Iam not sure but atm they cant hear me.. i think i need a mic ? but b4 this i dun nid mic to talk to my frnds...

    oh so m18x hv the same prob as well. thanks. pls let me know.. appreciate it :)

    Seems like the new nvidia 295 drivers screwed up skype, did you happen to install them?

    people are talking in this thread so I am writing here too, bigtony, so funny, 295 busted skype on my computer, now what is going on I cannot understand and solve! I tried a lot of things because apparently this is not the first time nvidia screwing up skype :eek: what is going on?!

    Sounds like its not webcam problem or skype.. it maybe is the plugin for flash player if i remember right... i got problems w skype coz icant see me wife in ipad but i cant make google calls either due to incorrect flash plugin.. check if your abobe flash player plugin is the same.. for active-x and plug-in version is both 11.1.102.55. (latest) mine was active-x lower 11.0 or something.. to check the version goto ctrl panel --> flash player--> advanced tab... to correct this you need to unistall flash-player then reinstall it.. google and download uninstaller and installer..

    hope this helps or this might just be a wild guess and yours could be different..
