    I have an m17x r3 with an AMD/ATI 6970 moblity chipset for video. I want to try out 3d games and movies with it.

    Can you run 3d through the PC video output, or do you have to use the HDMI port?

    I don't know if the 6970 supports 3D out. I think it depends on what type of 3D you are trying to do.
