Okay, so returning to THIS issue again after about a year. Still got this laptop sitting here, partially working, but as the title says, I've been unable to boot with a GPU installed whether it be Nvidia or AMD with the respective heatsinks. I get a failed CPU beep code, I think it's 7 beeps, and yet when I remove the GPU the PC works fine without fault. I can't even get the machine to POST with a video card installed!

Anyone have any ideas on what to do here? I REALLY want to get this machine working again. It's a beast of a laptop and has faaar too much potential just to be trashed.

    Please?

Seems like the card is the culprit, are you sure that both cards that you tested with were working ?

Are you going into bios and disabling igpu?
    Seems like an odd issue.
