This is while the laptop is just sitting here browsing the internet. No gaming or heavy load. Suggestions?

Mine does it too, also after browsing the internet for about an hour a few nights ago my gpu fan turned on high and gpu temp went from 49 C to 76 C for about 23 seconds with no games or anything running but internet explorer with 3 tabs open. Been trying to figure it out but no luck yet.

I installed the new BIOS from the link about 1 hour ago. My processor still idles like normal (49 C to 51 C) but now my GPU instead of idleing around 49C with random spikes from time to time it is now idleing around 58C-60 C just browsing the internet with 0% load. When playing games it has never maxed higher than 64 C... Any ideas?

    Thanks

Edit: I am using no overclock software, laptop is completely stock in the processor and GPU

Could be a bad factory paste job, might be worth it to repaste the CPU as well as the GPU. Also, have you looked into using HWiNFO? It's a neat program that will allow you to adjust fan speeds.

    RE: GPU & web browsing..
gpu rendering enabled in the browser? Flash heavy sites?
Many web sites are loud these days and with more programs offloading to the gpu you will see little load on the Cpu.

I think you are just seeing the new norm..

    BIOS update did the trick

Edit: After restart it seems it didn't work

Just curious. Is it both fans at the same time or just one - if so which one?
