Alienware M17x R4. For about a year now, at random times, my touchpad pointer will jump to the upper right corner and it will become very erratic. I have to move it slowly or it will jump away, the momentum feature is off, and it moves slowly. There appears to be nothing I can do - turning the Synaptics app off then back on, closing the lid and opening it again, nothing works except a reboot (which always works.)

Anyone else see this? Any solutions? I went to the Synaptics web site to perhaps try installing their newest Windows 10 drivers but I'm not sure which of the Windows 10 options to choose: PS/2 and SMBus drivers, or IC2 devices.

    Thanks.
