Just had my Laptop a couple of days but had no drivers loaded for the 7970m? How could they test in production?
Downloaded and up and running fine, seems odd thing to miss.

7970m btw .... 79070m some super new card!

    Which drivers are you using?
I can't get the 12.5 CCC beta drivers to work.

There are drivers on the Resource CD along with all other drivers.

I was able to install the 12.5 beta drivers just fine on my R4, I just used Fn + F7 to switch to the 7970m being active all the time and then installed the drivers.
