I bought my M17x R4 2 months ago and recently found it had a defective GPU, so I got it replaced my a technician.

After getting it installed and everything I decided to play some Simcity on max settings for 10 minutes and I noticed that the max temperature my GPU reached 100 degrees CELCIUS. Before when I played Simcity a month ago, the max temperature after 30 minutes was about 68-75 but now its from 90-100.

Can anyone give me any advice to solve this problem? I'm afraid that now if I game for more than 1 hour the laptop will overheat and cause problems. Any advice would be helpful!

PS. The fans are clean and have no dust in it and usually spin at a high RPM.

There was a piece of plastic or some piece of tape between the GPU and heatsink that looked out of place so i removed it. Now the max temperature I get while gaming is 67 degrees celcius! Damn technician didn't do a good job replacing my graphics card...
