Every time im installing drivers downloaded directly from amd site after restart my pc is crashing with BSOD. It doesnt matter if im doing fresh clean install (os+drivers in correct order+intel+amd) or im installing it on the top of dell stock drivers - they dont work at all. Couple times i managed to boot pc properly and pc was working fine until next restart but when i choose configure switchable graphics from the desktop or directly from catalyst control panel the window just wont show up. Same problem is with special modded drivers (leshcatl etc). So my question is do i need some special modded drivers for Intel card as well or its just a hardware failure of my radeon gpu?

The exact same thing happened to me.
Try this. Do a second install over the top once you get back into windows.
Although it feels really dodgy It has worked for me. So far it's been 6 days with no bsod.
If you get stuck (you wont) view my post history where I talk about it in detail.

Just one question TBoneSan, u did it with enduro mode on and installed intel drivers first then twice amd or it was done with enduro disabled? With disabled enduro everything is working fine for me

Yeah I never use enduro. I installed having only the generic VGA driver on.

Did you see a BSOD with atikmpag.sys? If so, try to uninstall drivers from both, install the latest HD4000 first, and then install the Catalyst Control. Try the official 12.10 first, before going for the beta 12.11.

I just simply disabled Enduro since I always leave my laptop on the desk, no need for enabling Enduro.

sherrypizza thank you very much, tried it and they are working fine so far, tested in diablo3 and nfs mw2, 3dmark11 scored P6544, before installation i have removed all amd/intel drivers, ran ccleaner and installed newest intel hd4000 drivers first and than amd drivers, after restart i have noticed that resolution was crappy and there was a yellow mark in device manager under amd 7970m but after another restart everything was ok

It was working fine for a day maybe two, now i got second BSOD about atikmpag.sys, its always after windows logon screen. It happens like two maybe three times per day. Its quite strange because when it boot without an error pc will be working fine until next restart

Have you removed the previous version completely before installing new?

    Did you turn on Enduro?

Well then I think you should disable Enduro and wait for a stable driver. I've seen another guy got BSOD and his problem gone when he disabled Enduro. Not the best solution out there ( if you tend to carry your laptop ), but it works and it gives you the performance you deserve for 7970M.

Just want to confirm that even with your driver, I still get BSOD. I just did a fresh W7 installation after formatting SSD, then HD4000 and .net 4.0 so I'm pretty sure there is nothing left from the old driver.

I did the same. Installed os couple times just to make sure that my system is clean. In enduro mode on only drivers which are working are drivers downloaded from dell site. I was trying many drivers in many ways. I was always performing full uninstall with reg cleaning etc. When enduro is off problem is gone - I can use every driver which is available on the internet. Maybe there is some problem with vbios or something - i have no idea. I could live with it but performance on dell stock driver is more than crappy and enduro off is not the option - we paid for it so its supposed to work properly from the beginning.

When you disable Enduro, you can use any driver out there. So go ahead and get the performance driver or 12.11 beta 8. It doesn't matter as you already diable Enduro, so you won't get any BSOD. But really, 3 BSOD in a row is frustrated LOL.

If you have BSOD with atikmpag.sys just right after logging into windows just try to boot it without ac adapter connected. Disconnect adapter let windows boot normally, pass login screen, wait couple seconds and connect ac adapter. This works for me so far with latest Intel hd 4000 drivers+amd enduro drivers 9.01. Tested couple restarts in a row without ac adapter - no BSOD so far. I have no idea if its a permanent fix or just a luck, but when ac adapter is connected i had BSOD's almost every time. I will test it today again with couple restarts and we will see what will happen :D

Anyone tried these: Driver e download | Dell [Italia] ?
They are for win 8 but on the driver's page it's written they are compatible for win7 64; I downloaded them but when I tried to install it's written win 8 only, so I didn't go any further.
