I am running M17x R4 in PEG mode with an AMD card with Windows 10.
I noticed that if I install graphics drivers without HDMI drivers the Creative Soundcard will work but there is no HDMI audio.
If I do install them however the Creative Soundcard stops working and then there is no audio device detected not even HDMI audio.

This infuriates me because in SG mode there no such issues at least not that cannot be fixed.

Has anyone experienced this issue and gotten it to work?

Based on this topic I have uninstalled nVidia audio driver for my M4000M in my M17x R4. Audio would go away after a few reboots. The only way to get it back was to shutdown, remove battery and how the power button for about a minute. Put everything back and sound would work for a while.

I will post back if this solves my long standing sound issues.

Uninstall Sound Blaster drivers and software and try this driver:
    https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER01776896M/1/Audio_Driver_4T7P8_WN_1.00.19_A00.EXE

I am using it for a few years and audio is fine through multiple Windows build updates. I hope it will fix your audio issue too.

I uninstalled the nVidia audio drivers and this seems to have solved my sound issues. @ mariussx I already had that driver installed.
