no Msata still on SATA2 and will not be fixable with bios, the chipset can't handle it.

Why did you get the 660m? Your system is like having a 4 banger in a high end sports car. If i were you i would get rid of that 660m because really its just an oc'ed 650m. Throw a 7970m in and youll have both overclocking and much better performance. Its really quite odd that you opted for the 3820qm and then got the lowest gpu.

It's a shame because the SATA III SSD performance is not optimal. :(

wasn´t this a problem on the R3 only?

the R4 has a new chipset, and i doubt they made the same mistake twice?!

I think its just the mSATA that is SATA II. The two hard drive bays are SATA III. As they should be. ;)

I just got a new M17xR4 last week and I had the A04 BIOS installed. On Sunday I had a problem with my sound card disappearing out of the device manager. I have now installed A02 which is supposed to be the BIOS that fixes this issue. I find it funny that A04 seems to still have the sound card issue. Since I have installed A02 I have not had a single issue with my sound card.

It seems as though A04 is just an incorrectly named A01 and that A02 is actually newer than "A04".

Haha I just needed the gtx 660m to play DoTA 2 SMOOTHLY. the vbios disabled kepler's turbo boost. I'm only running at 835Mhz MAX. (with turbo it's 950Mhz). I just need that extra little boost to play my game smoothly :(

can you guys confirm that the 2 2.5" bays are sata III, ive been searching the interweb as my msata SSD is currently only running at sata II speeds, and im wanting to use this as a caching drive to my 1tb HDD when my new 2.5" SSD arrives.
