    Is there anywhere to obtain replacement cosmetic components/screws for an M17x R4? I allow the members of the robotics team that I mentor to use my personal laptop for things like CAD and it's gradually led to some (slight and unintentional) damage. I'm mostly looking to replace the plastic around the keyboard (I have no clue what this would be called, I'm fairly certain that it's attached to the media bar) due to two cracks in it but I have no clue where to start looking.

    Simply search on ebay for m17x keyboard cover, keyboard bezel or media cover. You'll definitely find it there.

    Its called a power button keyboard bezel. Dell part # GDKVM. Easily attain from parts-people.com or Ebay above. Hope that helps!!

    Before buying from ebay, check with dell. I have found alot of the parts you find on ebay or parts-people are actually more expensive than if you get them right from dell.
