Hello, I just got my M17x R4 in today however when I try to plug it into my monitor via the HDMI out (I checked to make sure it was plugged into the HDMI out not the in) it doesn't work, it simply doesn't detect that the monitor is even hooked up, even rebooting it didn't make it see it, does anyone know how to get it working right? I know with my M11x R1 I had to turn on the Nvidia card since you have to manually switch it, but with the 7970's auto switching thing that's not an option.

With the monitor hooked up, can you right click the desktop, choose screen resolution, and pick a different display?

Also, with the M17x R4, you can press Fn+F7 to turn on/off the integrated graphics but that shouldn't matter here.

I couldn't, but I had just tried unplugging the cable from the monitor and plugging it back in and for whatever reason it started working then.

Also another question that I have it working, is there any way to disable sound to be pushed thru HDMI and the headphone jack being turned off, I want to use the monitor, but not it's crappy built in speakers, I want to use the stereo speakers I have hooked up thru the headphone jack.

Hope it stays good. On my first model the HDMI wasn't working unless I wiggled the cable and held pressure on it - they replaced the mobo. There is also some sort of detect on the HDMI that you might have triggered when replugging it....
