Hey, I've been having an issue with the HDMI in on my M17x R4 as when I plug in my PS3, everything is fine, it loads up, and i can hear the main menu sounds (loading, menu scroll tick) and even the music when you hover over a game, but when i launch the game i get a violent static. The cable, PS3 and game are all fine as they work normally on my TV, so i'm stumped

    Any ideas guys?

Is it a 1.4 HDMI cable?

I am not sure, but I know the cable is around 3 years old.

Drop by an Electronics store and get a 1.4 HDMI cable and give it a try with that one.

i think that hdmi in supports only upto v1.3
nevertheless, get a new cable and try with that(backward compatible, no difference in cable, just the bandwidth)

PS: are you trying to use 3d on hdmi in?it wont work with v1.3, because it requires v1.4a and above
