This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    M17x R4 amd display adapter / BSOD

    Hi All,

    Im getting "amd display adapter has stopped responding and has recovered" also BSOD

    Bugcheck 0x116 - dxgkrnl.sys
    Bugcheck 0x001 - atikmdag

    Operating System:
    - Windows 7 x64

    GPU:
    - AMD 7970m

    - tried another video card, same problem
    - ran the uninstaller from AMD and guru3d and installed the latest driver from ATI, same problem
    - tried the driver version that works for my machine for 4 years ( 13.4 ), same problem.
    - removed 1 ram stick, same problem
    - clean install windows 7, same problem

    Please help.
