Hey guys, got a question about battery life. I know that reviews and owners say that the regular version of the m17x R4 with Optimus can achieve around 4-5 hours of battery life. What about the 3d vision bundle version of the m17x R4 w/o the optimus? Can any of the owners of the 3d vision of m17x tell me how much battery life they are getting?

    Thanks

I got about 2 hours the other day starting at around 80% battery life --- using internet mostly. I would estimate 2-2.5 hours. I read someone else here that mentioned they got 3.5 hours on power saving mode. so probably about half of what optimus delivers. The 120hz screen is nice though..... well worth the tradeoff, and if you are into 3d it is cool. works better than any 3d i have ever seen. cool 3d effects on battlefield 3 and diablo 3 . I have the 680m

Yep, I get about 2.5 hours with average use and 40% brightness (give or take 20mins depending on usage and settings); definitely worth the trade in my opinion also.

Thanks for the reply you two, so the non optimus 3d vision version of the m17x r4 gets about 2.5h then?

Yeah, anywhere between 2-3 hrs for me (3 under very conservative battery management) ...most of the time I get about 2-2.5 as well.

Good info Jazz8, the 3d can also be turned off in games to get more fps like the regular normal optimus m17x right? Reason is I'm not going to use the 3dvision for games but for watching 3dmovies and videos.
