So I have had my laptop for just over three months now and have had some problems with it. I had to get the LCD replaced because of dead pixels only weeks after receiving it and now i've run into a bigger issue. I've been having issues with multi-coloured pixels on the screen. The problem comes and goes. They're not static and move with whatever they're on. My display also apparently likes to do the Harlem Shake every so often but say it does it on a tab in my browser, if I switch tabs or close it the shaking goes away. I've added some pictures and hope to get help. I've tried a clean install of my video drivers and no luck. I tried reseating the cables and now it's fine every so often, but acts up on a whim. *edit: I have a gtx 660m just for reference (sorry for the large images)

The pixelation from your first and last photos point to a defective display or GPU.

I'm leaning towards the display because it only started happening after I had it replaced.

Does it change as the display is moved?

No, but I opened the laptop up all the way and then picked it up and leaned it towards me and it stopped. Hmm, I might take a look and double check that everything is properly secured.

Spoke with Dell support, they're saying it's the LCD. -.-" This will be the second time that it has had to be replaced. I should hear from someone Monday or Tuesday and will report back after to update.

Well if physically moving it is making a difference that would make me lean towards the cable, maybe put a note in to double check that too.

Just went in and reconnected all of my cables. Everything seems to be working so far. I'll run it for a few hours and see what happens.

Might be the connector as opposed to the actual cable. I know if my LCD connector isn't properly seated (and I do mean properly) then the LCD will do all sorts of weird things.

Well I ended up canceling the LCD replacement and have not had a single problem with the laptop since re-seating the connector. Thanks for all the help. It's nice to know that there's a community willing to help pretty much anyone. I'm glad I was right with my gut thinking it was the connection.

Well that's a relief, always a pain sending it off, intermittent issues tend to be mechanical in nature.
