Hi everyone, I have an issue with typing the letters w and f on my keyboard. Half the time, I have no issues typing those 2 letters. The other half, I will not be able to type the letters on the first try. I would have to press that key a good amount of times before the computer would register it.

I plugged an external keyboard and had no issues typing so I figured my laptop's keyboard needed replacing but that didn't solve problem. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do next? I'm hoping I do not need to replace the keyboard connector on my motherboard and if so, how much would I be looking at? Thanks in advance!

I also changed the ribbon cable but that did not fix the problem.

    Could I use a motherboard from a non 3D m17x on a 3D m17x?

Assuming they are the same model. There should be no problem at all.
But if you're talking about using a 17x R3 or an Alienware 17 motherboard, it might not fit.
Needless to say, Alienware has tested the full functionality of those different motherboards on that specific system.
