    M17x R4 paint flaw

    Not sure if the other models are like this but on the R4, where the volume control panel and alienhead is located, there is a black brushed metal textured plastic. I noticed a little speck and tried rubbing it off with my fingernail and the paint gently peeled. Now there is a silver spot. Just letting yall know to be careful with that panel.

    yea it sucks that the finish comes off that panel so easily. My Alien has all kinds of specks there and i've only had my machine for little over a year now. :(

    Same with mine, I have them all over the volume buttons and mute button, they started showing up after only having it a few months. There noticeable but not so much as to completely bother me.

    well I think mine is wearing off because the media bar was rubbing again the bottom of my screen for a while. I already had my LCD assembly replaced once and It looks like I might see if I can get my media panel and LCD assembly replaced again because it annoys me.
