So we know that separating the plexiglass from the LCD is damn near impossible, unlike on the m14x it was a bezel held in by tabs that were easy to remove. So we need to keep our screens in extra good shape because of that. How resistant would you say this screen is to scratches? Since everyone has had their R4s, have any scratches or those small dot imprint type scratches show up? I'm talking about from regular use . I'm debating buying a screen protector whenever i get a new R4 as the one I have currently already came with some damage, Imprint type scratches on the screen. I think it sucks they chose plexiglass, which is basically plastic, an easy to scratch material, over something like gorilla glass on a system so .So what do you guys think?.

The plastic facing of the screen seems to hold up very well. I have owned an R1 for over three years and I have yet to see a major scratch or imprint on the screen. However, this is very dependent on how you clean your screen and also how you transport the laptop. Always use a soft, lint free cloth to clean the screen. Do not use aggressive chemicals or solvents (especially those with alcohol and ammonia). When you transport the laptop, do not put excessive pressure on the screen, as it is possible for screen to wear against the keyboard.
Thanks,
Gabe
