I have had the motherboard replaced 3 times, and now that I am out of warranty, the problem has come back. Has anybody gotten the problem resolved, on ANY bios version? I am currently on A11. Has anybody found a permanent hardware fix I can do? I assume dell is not assuming responsibility for faulty sound cards, seems like I got a motherboard everytime out of that bad batch.

I mean, I would maybe pay for a mobo replacement, but who's to say it doesn't have the same crapola sound card problem? Can any reps chime in here for some guidance? I suppose Dell won't be doing a recall on affected systems like they did with the R3's faulty chipset?

It's the motherboard and it's a known issue. The only perma fix is a good motherboard :(

So does any rep on here have a method of getting a motherboard that does not have this issue?

We have been handling that issue by replacing the motherboards. We have released a BIOS update to fix the issue but if that did not work then you will have to replace the motherboard again. Truly sorry about the inconvenience.

I am currently on BIOS A11. Should I attempt to flash back to A05? Also, is there a way to obtain a known tested working motherboard?

All of the current models contain the fix, but 9/10 it does not fix it entirely :|.

3 mobo replacements and now I am out of warranty, still not a functioning computer. It seems it is an entirely arbitrary problem

Problem is .. You get it replaced with a referb mobo and guess what it usually is just a mobo taken out of a computer with an existing audio problem :|
