    M17x R4 with 1060m, Can't update drivers. Anyone else have this issue?

    So if you have this laptop and have upgraded the GPU like me, you would have to be familiar with modifying INF files to update drivers. Well, it was working fine up until Nvidia decided to delete installation files when it can't proceed with its installation. So I copied the installation folder before it could get deleted, modified the INF accordingly, made sure driver signature enforcement was off, but during the installation it fails to install the driver. It seems any driver past 390.00 has this issue.

    So now I'm stuck and can't upgrade my GPU drivers at all. Which is extremely problematic for games published by EA since they force you to have the latest drivers in order to play their games.

    Youll need to search and change "11FF" to your laptop ID, for my m17xr4 its 0551 or 0558, then change all the 1462's on the same line to 1028.
