I just moved the 880M from my P170SM-A to the M17x R4. It runs consistent and cool. I think the cooling is better in the Alienware machine. I just plugged it in and did a quick and dirty INF mod. Runs almost exactly the same as it did in the Clevo (both running stock clocks)

I am going to try the 8970M in the M17x R4 to see how that goes. Others have reported issues in the M17x R4. It worked fine in my M15x except that I had to control the fans with HWInfo64.

Well... I bought a Quadro M4000M (think 970M with a 256 bit memory bus and 4GB VRAM) for my M15x and I had to recover from a bad flash so I stuck in the M17x.

After some @Prema McLovin' it's running pretty good!

I had to use a 330w power supply as I have seen 148w on the graphics card alone. Prema really was able to to wake this thing up!

3DM11 did not complete at these settings. This is my best 3DMark 11 run so far.
