    Hi Everyone

It's been a long time since I've been here. Hands down, the place to find your answers and discuss.

It has been almost a year since I last used my laptop, now I notice there's a thin coloured spectrum of line at the bottom of the screen. The line is present almost all the time. I'm not sure whether its the latest driver update (because there were many updates installed in between and the people who were using the system aren't sure when or how it started, hence i cannot by driver) or there had been a damage done to the laptop's LCD screen.

It is severe when I start the system for the first time and mild when I have to restart in between. While playing games, the line reflects the colour which is major for that frame.

    I am attaching some pictures.

P.S. My warranty expired in the month of May and I had come only now. I am proceeding with a recertification process with Dell and extending my warranty further.

    Thanks in advance

Hi, Have you tried plugging it into a TV via HDMI? If you turn off the panel when connected via HDMI and the problem goes away then the panel would be my best guess suspect (or the internal cable?)...

Thanks for the reply Micky, it is a great suggestion. Presently I do not have any access to a television, I will test this and update here as soon as possible.
