    M17x Ram Upgrade? Please help

    Could anyone tell me why it appears that this ram will be compatible with my Alienware M17x (R1)

    Thanks for any help and advice in advance. From the details I can't find a difference in the two. I verified that both we're 204 pin. I made the mistake of ordering a set of Crucial Ballistix that was 1866 MT/s and I couldn't get it to boot up. I just don't want to order the wrong one again.

    Sorry if this has been asked before but I searched for answers. If anyone has any other suggestions for my ram upgrade please feel free to suggest.

    The only difference that I see between them is the CL count. I would just take the one that says that is compatible, that way if it fails you will have the right to return it.
