There was someone having the same problem with u.. But i couldn't find the threat for it.. Anyways u can search around the forum.. Searching google on your problem might help as well...

You should still have your warranty, If its bugging u then u can try calling Dell ...

i guess that the guy who remplaced the 280m sli did not propertly put back the keyboard and the plaque on top of the keyboard and thats why it scratches, now i have to put a cloth everytime i close the laptop, dell said that they were going to callme (looking over the problem with theit managers, uff)

Sad muppet that I am, I still put the waxed paper overlay back beteween keyboard and screen every time I pack up, plus still have the screen protector on (to stop others wandering fingers when the go ... "Oooh" JAB! <JAB>... <SMACK>"Ow! what did you do that for??" >8oD

The polythene condom is just to keep the dust off in the bag.

OCD - me? Nooo ... /he says hiding his packet of Windowlene wipes... My M17x naturally looks factory-new every day!

    Cheers

Just do not crush the laptop when you put it in a bag....I had had mine since the beginning of August and regularly transport it in a backpack with binder and textbooks and my screen is still in pristine condition

Curious... considering the reflectivity of the screen, are there any good solutions besides sitting in the dark to cut it down that look good but work without screwing up the glass? I was stunned looking at the m15x how much reflection there was even from indirect light sources...

There is a screen polish alienware sells. No way I would attempt it though. Way too much opportunity to make it worse.
