    Sorry to go off topic for a sec, but are the r2 and r3 the exact same screen size? In all pics the r2 appears to have a larger screen by quite a margin.. Why is this?

    I know it's 120 pixels taller, but the physical screen on the r2 looks a lot bigger... I guess it could be how close the screens are to the camera.

    Yes, the screen on the R2 is bigger, since and the R2 laptop is also longer.

    Since they both have similar widths, and the R2 has a higher resolution screen, it must therefore be bigger.

    The M17x R2 screen has 16:10 aspect ratio.
    The M17x R3 screen has 16:9 aspect ratio.

    No even that. My vinyl is matte bubble free wrap, basically sticker. I only did the lid and the palm rest not the base because cutting the holes for the ports would have been a nightmare. Plus I like the contrast when the lid is shut.

    It's easy. I didn't have to tear the whole thing down. Because the base remained basically untouched. I only removed the screen and palm rest to wrap. If you've ever done carbon wrapping on cars or bikes with an air gun or similar it should be a walk in the park :)
