    Hi guys;

    I have a problem, The 2 USB ports on the left no longer have a plastic separator in each of them.

    Do you know if this is covered by the warranty ? and if i will have to return my laptop ?

    And is there any change that they change the laptop ? for one that will finally run Battleground Europe (wwiionline). This damn laptop is not compatible with it.

    Thanks for your help guys

    if it broke, yes, it's covered. if you have warranty coverage. call dell.

    they should dispatch a tech with the parts to fix it.

    they won't give you a new laptop for this. but you probably will get a new mobo.

    incompat is probably not the laptop but software-related. drivers?

    I'll call them Monday, I hope I won't have to return the full laptop it's going to tricky if it's the case.

    Try not to return the laptop to dell, they tend to ruin more parts than the parts they fix. I prefer a tech come over, and i would watch every step he does.

    Hi Lindir :) I just uploaded the A04 Bios, on my M17X and Battleground Europe is still a no go. I've tried 2 or 3 different video drivers with no luck. I was able to get it running several updates ago, but since then it won't load.

    I have experienced the same problem with both left USB ports (no failings with right ports thus far), and ended up having a wireless dongle damaged by it.

    One of many miserable events with Dell and this laptop (sent the wrong laptop the first time, then sent an m17x with a fractured motherboard, triple-billed on credit card, and the list goes on; it took us months to even get the laptop after it was ordered thanks to all this).

    Dell told me that if I wanted this repaired, I would need to send the m17x back to Alienware in Ireland to have it rebuilt because it was "a very complicated job" (which, of course, I argued to them about to but no avail because all of the people with whom I spoke clearly knew nothing remotely tech-oriented).
