    Anyone here Play Napoleon Total war?

    I've searched around a bit on google and found out that the 5870s in the M17x specifically have a problem where the units become 'invisible' unless zoomed in on. The only way I can correct this is to change any setting in the graphics and 'kick it' into working again.

    Also, Load times seem to be horrible.
    specs:
    i7 720QM
    8GB DDR1333
    RAID 0 7200.4 drives
    CF 5870s, CCC minimap to high quality

    all settings except AAA and AF set to maximum,

    load times:
    loading a saved game from main menu to campaign map: 1:37
    Loading Battle from campaign map : 2:32

    Searched around a tad bit, and inferior systems cut these times in half with half the ram, a single desktop HDD and less VRAM.

    just wondering if anyone else in these forums maybe uses CAT 10.6 on their M17x and specifically saw these issues were solved. Thanks.
