    M17x blu ray drive 3D?

    Is the M17X blu ray drive capable of playing 3D blu ray discs? I'm guessing it is, I just see specific blu ray discs on amazon that are specially labeled 3D and didn't see it listed anywhere. Any 3D M17x owners?

    Yes it can but you need a 3D tv, Nvidia 3D vision external monitor or the 3D package with 3D screen and gtx 460m.

    I have a R1 with the CA10N bluray reader and it plays back 3d blurays just fine. I also use PowerDVD 10 ultra to do the decoding via the checkerboard option and it works well. CAUTION: not all 3D TVs support checkerboard decoding...it seems to be restricted to the higher end TVs like my Samsung UN55D8000.
