I would say try to get a better warranty for that price.
-
Seems like a good deal to me, but I would keep trying for a better price anyway. What have you got to lose? Tell 'em you would really like to order right now, but you're just a couple of bucks right now.
Go for it Grim! -
What are some good deals other members have got? And what would be a reasonable goal to shoot for given the specs listed?
-
Okay guys now I got it to $1972 with free delivery on the same specs! Deal or no deal?
-
I would say no deal... are you a student? Also, their is a 5% off alienware systems over 1899 right now till June. Are you dealing with a US rep? Your specs = $2274 with no discount... if you are EPP you can get 10% and another 5% coupon code... some members reported getting 20-26% off. At least see if they will up your warranty or throw in a Orion backpack. Tell him you are also looking at the asus g73jh-a1 which starts at $1600 that has more ram and two 500GB hard drives!

are you on facebook?
-
Yeah, why?
-
if your on facebook look up "dell deals" There is a post on there by me asking about discounts on alienware systems... on of the reps named Logan is on there... he is a US rep. Tell him I referred you to him and see what kind of deal he can offer you.
-
im also posted on the alienware 5% off coupon code asking about the 5870's in crossfire
-
look up "Logan at Dell" he is the rep. Let me know if he hooks u up with a better deal!
-
I believe the US reps can't offer the EPP discount. If I'm right that is done through some EPP department they have. I tried ordering through Team Blackhawk and supposedly they could only offer me $50 off, even though my laptop came out to about $5,000 (After taxes). Obviously since I could get 10% off because I'm a student I didn't settle for that. Another thing to keep in mind is if you use the Dell Premier Account or whatever it is called, you can get an additional 3% off. If there is a 5% coupon you could be up to 18% off. Not sure if they will let you stack all the discounts though.
-
Thank you, I messaged Logan on there and I refereed you joelhr. I hope I can get something good.
But yeah Rekroar, the EPP department seems to be different and I don't think I can get a US Rep from them, I need to keep trying. -
At the very least maybe he can sweeten the deal you were currently offered!
-
To get the EPP you need to talk to the EPP department. 1-800-695-8133, listen to the options. You must work for a company that has this program for this, they will ask you. Common discount is 10%, you can work on them to get as good as 18% if your really lucky.
-
Man! Getting a good deal is tough, are there any EPP US-reps?
