In the bios theres an option to switch to integrated and discrete graphics, if you're trying to use the main that would be discrete also you can switch using the stealth mode option on your feather touch keys. However, when switching using the touch keys you will have to restart the system and go into bios to make sure the system switched to discrete where the integrated will be greyed out. I found that by going into bios upon boot happens to be the easiest, hope this helps!

Note: If I'm not mistaken, you can also right click on your desktop to bring up the Nvidia control panel and either switch to discrete or integrated as well as going into your start menu and right clicking on computer and click manage to bring up system drivers and making sure that either discrete or integrated are enabled.

Binary GFX is your discrete btw!

No prob and to answer your question, it depends on what your using your system for att. I have found that by using the 9400m for basic computing is good on your battery, and power consumption. However, when gaming you might want to enable SLI to allow for a great gaming experience with high framerates and smooth play!!!!

I have not played Mafia 2 so I honestly wouldn't know why the game is lagging or slow? I would have to say that this could be due to your graphics cards drivers being outdated as Mafia 2 is a newer game? I would enable PhysX and see if that fixes the problem, otherwise check to see if your drivers are outdated and download/install the newer dell drivers from the website not steam. Hope that this helps?
