    M17x or M14x on a tight budget questions

    Yeh, if you go with the M17x, just spend the extra $125, save yourself the future buyers remorse and get the 1080p screen.

    You don't want that low quality 1600p! I bet you are saying "oh it's fine for me though". Yeh, I thought same thing, until I received it and returned it solely based on that the screen was horrid.

    Well I have a good external monitor I can use since the M17x will basically be rooted to my desk at home. So for me, the extra money for the screen seems like a waste.

    I really hope this isn't the "huge difference" everyone is talking about...

    Keep in mind, I'd be using a dual monitor set up with my games on the external monitor.

    That vid. isnt comparing screens. Its comparing 1080p to 720p on a FHD screen if I'm correct.

    Oops yeah you're right, it's comparing resolutions.

    Well anyway, I'd still like to see the difference for myself before paying $150 more for an upgraded screen when I won't even be using the attached screen for gaming....

    why get a laptop if you're planning on using it as a desktop?
