I recently hooked up my m17x to my Dell 2405FPW LCD via a miniDisplayPort to DVI cable. When I initially powered on my laptop it started up duplicating the display on both screens in 1600x1050 resolution. I was quickly able to disable the laptop display and get my monitor running at 1920x1200.

Everything was fine until I restarted my computer. Now, for the life of me, I can't get back into the same configuration with my laptop screen disabled and the 1920x1200 output on my monitor. The only way I can seem to get any output is in 1600x1050 resolution. If I change to anything else, including 1900x1200, I get nothing on the monitor.

Anyone have any advice from having experienced any of these issues?

Ah, think I've got it now. I had unchecked "Alternate DVI Operational Mode" in CCC flat panel settings at some point during troubleshooting. Checking that allowed me to get 1920x1200 output. Now it even does a full reboot with the lid closed and preserves my display settings. Happy day.
