From what ive found the battery is no longer available. I replaced the cells and upgraded the size of the cells however dells eeprom has locked the battery. Anyone know of a way around this to reset either the eeprom or get around the lockout? Ive also looked at the eeprom works software but im unsure how to wire up the battery and they do not list the eeprom chip inside the battery. Is there a cmos update i can do to allow battery control?

I didn't know that Dell locks out the battery replacements like this, But I think we know that Dell PSU uses a chip inside it to communicate with the Mobo so that counterfeit products cannot work on the Dell hardware, the machine I have also had the battery pack go dark, unfortunate to hear this since you even performed the repair. Maybe @t456 can help you look into this.
