Purchased a working m17x R1 on ebay with sli gtx 280m and a qx9300 . it worked perfectly until i decided to remove the gpus because i was using a 130w power supply at the time. i finished removing the gpus and the laptop never booted again , the alien head didnt turn on at all . i thought it was either the gpus , cpu , motherboard or power board . before this happened i ordered a 240w adapter . i got later a replacement mobo , cpu (qx9300), power board. (tested the ram on a dell m4500 and it works fine). today i assembled the machine and the good news is that the alien head turns on (on the old mobo the alien head remains off) but when i try to turn it on it quickly turns off again and the alienhead remains on . i tested both cpus and its behaving the same issue. im using the new 240w power adapter. btw i tested the machine without the graphics card. the only thing that remains is the monitor , maybe is not working? what is the minimum hardware required to get a boot on this laptop?
