Hey guys, i have had a very irritating graphical problem as of late with my M17x r2 and it appears to be driver related.
I noticed a few months ago that all of a sudden every texture in any game i played had become very low quality, regardless of the settings i had set. I first noticed it when playing Duke Nukem and thought that perhaps it was the game, but then switched back over to FNV and was having the exact same problem.
This issue seems to disappear if i reinstall the drivers/install new drivers but always comes back after a week or so, which then forces me to reinstall the drivers again if i wish to have decent quality textures.

I am currently running the 11.10 preview 3 drivers with cap 4, but this has been happening for a while now with many different sets of drivers.

On an unrelated note, video playback and simple internet browsing is very slow and jittery, and has been ever since i have had this laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

UPDATE!! Just a quick update guys, i've managed to solve the texture issue, had to put mipmap detail up to "high quality" instead of "high performance" in CCC. The second issue still exists, and what is the most effective method of determining whether or not Crossfire is working correctly? As always, any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

To check crossfire performance I usually run fraps with every game i play , i like seeing whats going on every time, so when i notice my frame rate suddenly goes from stable 60fps to 30ish i know something is wrong. I alt+tab and check my temps, usually running hwinfo32 as well, anything over 95c can cause stutter and heavy frame drop, so if all clear there i tab back in to see if fps goes back up to 60 flat. When that happens it means crossfire isnt working well with a game. Another program you can check with is Radeon Pro, Once you make a game profile with it enable crossfire status bar and it will display a huge bar on the left side of your screen showing each video card performance while you are in game.
