    Hi there.

At the beginning i would like to say that i am MAD about clean screen. For me, screen must be always clean, with no dust on it, when playing, or watching films, when there is even a smallest spot on the screen - IT FREAKS ME OUT.

Recently, i saw that my screen has some 2-3 spots that i can't clean. They are about 0,5mm square in size, so not a big deal, i can barely see it - BUT I WANT TO REMOVE IT.
I tried with rubbing alkohol and microfibre cloth, and my debit card to remove it (it appears that this is some kind of very sticky grease).

    My questions are

Is there any fluid, or cleaner (may contain Uranium, or plutonium) wich would remove this freaking me off marks without need of scratching it off that could cause - batman scratch ?

    2Nd question is

M17x r2 screen looks like it has glass surface that covers the actual screen, so in case of big scratch can we owners of all powerfull r2's replace just the front glass on it ?

OR is it ONE part, and when you scratch it you have to replace the whole panel ?

    Thanks for help in advance

Hello, flingin, be careful what solution you put on the screen as that's not actual glass, It's plexy-glass, putting some solvent based solution might do worse.
First of all, make sure the spots are not on the inside, second, if the method with a credit card failed, might want to try 70 degrees alcohol. Open the screen, put a drop, and try gently with the credit card but at the same time make sure that It's touching the screen.

Regarding a replacement plexy, well, It's taped with 3M like double sided sticky tape and they are not sold separately :/ so if you love a mint screen you should take care of it ;)

Lol, if you can feel them, then they'll definitely go off with the credit card.

that's the problem, they dont want to go off, i can't see this is a scratch, and i didn't touch my screen unless i wanted to clean it - ALWAYS with microfibre cloth.

My girlfriends laptop (HP6820s with matt screen) was never under such a care as mine, and its screen is perfect, no spots or even 'micro' marks.
She tells me that this is happening becouse i really take TOO MUCH CARE OF IT -LOL

I just tried hot water+microfibre cloth and debit card after, seems like i removed maybe 10% of this 0,5mm square spot, but i may be wrong.

    Sour abuot my life !!!

No offence, she's kinda right :D. Let it go, man, I bet if we all take a very close look at our screens we'll find something that small.
