Hey guys, as you know i've been jumping back and forth between my 7970m and 680m and recently, I gave up using my 7970m and had it sold to my cousin for a good price :p

And as for the current issue now, As soon as I installed my 680m again, I noticed taht my keyboard back lights are not functioning at all. Apparently the back light still works on my older 6990m as well as the 7970m. I have tried re-installing my nvidia drivers, OSD/command centre and even reflashing my mobo's bios as well as gpu's vbios to no avail. Has anyone come across this problem before? :(

    Try reinstalling Windows.
HAve you tried running the AlienFXTester.exe? It is located in the command center folder.

unfortunately for me, I am currently outstation for at least 3 more weeks and I do not have my windows /resource cd with me at the moment ): as for the fx tester, every single colour works everywhere apart from the keyboard. It just remains unlit. As mentioned earlier, this issue is only present currently with my 680m ( it worked well previously). I would also like to mention that previously, I had a mobo replacement from dell an maybe the new motherboard has issues with my 680m?

There could be a cable disconnected after the upgrade. Do you have a way to get back to the 7970.?

After reseating the card and cable again for the 4th time, my keyboard's backlight is working again! I'm happy and content for now but lets hope that the backlight stays permanently this time
