    try doing a power drain.

unplug laptop, take out battery then hold power button for 20 sec. then put everything back

It could be the outlet won't provide enough power. Are you using a home outlet and is the charger's connector lighting up blue?

I've had that intermittently with my M17x R2. Honestly, it almost always goes away once the battery hits a certain level.

Try the power drain. Make sure you hit the FN+Battery key to make sure the battery charge is enabled.

nvm, shut-off then disconnecting AC and removing battery, plus pressing power button for 20 secs.. and rebuild everything and works like a charm. good luck!
