    Hello all,

I just purchased a used m17x r3 3d notebook and after performing a fresh install I am receiving all kinds of BSODS with the majority of them being IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL or DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL. I have done a few fresh installs since with the same results every time. I am now also receiving a message when i plug in my charger that appears to have something to do with GPU switching that also informs me that my charger is incorrect and it will continue using the battery. I called dell support and got some guy i could not understand and wanted to charge me 130 dollars to walk me trough an install saying that the install process needs to be stopped and drivers installed during setup. He told me to call back when the owner transfer is complete which could be 5 days or more from now if i did not want to pay the 130.00. Can anyone give me input on this. I just need to know what drivers need to be installed during the setup process that would be causing my BSOD problems.

After doing a clean install of Windows you need to install all the latest drivers for your machine found here: Exernal Link

If you still get BSOD's after installing all the drivers, zip and upload your dump files which are found in C:\Windows\Minidump\.

just install the latest graphics card driver from nvidia and make sure you install all the windows updates. I had the same issue, but after doing the following I haven't had a problem since. :)

I still find myself having the same problem. I am stable on 467, and the next stable one that I found was 286. Anything in between there caused immediate BSOD on start-up.
