    hellos,
    Here, a few days my 6970M is breaking down and needs to be part of the series of defective gpu as this:

    "This issue leads to a distortion of the images, the appearance of vertical lines on a white or blue background, or display a completely black screen"

    So I wanted to know if Alienware will take care of replacing these free gpu as does Apple?

    It gpu can you advise me to replace her, I r9 8970m or 290x that can do that may be because I do not think gtx 970m is compatible with my model.

    thank you ++

    Yeah forget Alienware replacing it for free.. Your best options are

    1. Getting a 680M/780M and really the 680M works with no issues... 780M you might have HDMI problems..
    2. Getting a AMD7970M which should work with minimal problems or getting a 8970M which works but it's a pain to find correct vBIOS...

    Best option IMO: Get a 680M/780M or whichever is cheaper...

    Thank you, so I'll just have to put the bios days to install 7970M?

    I'm not certain compatibility with Nvidia gpu my model, I think the motherboard model I do support than ATI.

    thank you ++

    Ok, I just have a look at different website and forums to search ATI GPU, it is not easy to find compared to Nvidia.
    But I found GTX 770M 3GB not over 170 euro or GTX 870M for 100 more.

    To see which will be most compatible and installation as well.

    thank you

    I've not heard of the 770M/870M working in the R3.... I know both work in the R4.. If you want an AMD GPU, I will be upgrading from the 7970M to the 970M and I have a Dell 7970M so it should work in yours.. I'm willing to sell if you can wait till end of next week...

    P.S: Send me a Private Message with your location in France so I can look at the postage etc..
