Hey guys so I need some information/help.

I'm planning to upgrade my m17x r3's gpu. I've gone from 560m to 580m back to 560m just cause 560m runs cooler and the 580m even with the hwinfo throttle fix(it worked for me i dunno bout others) still gets to high 70s and low 80s temps and fan sounding crazy just playing games that when played on the 560m runs barely 60 or low 60s. So I've heard of this card the gtx 675mx, I've heard it is a cool card, it is more or less 80% the performance of the 680m but half the cost, so go figure why this card interests me.

My question now is, any of you guys have experience with this card running in an r3? all those stuff. I just need more info about the r3 + 675mx combination so I will jump ship on buying the card. Thanks.

    I have a 6970m. Also interested as OP in a 675mx for the R3.

Do you still have the 580m? I know it sounds silly but I would just put it back again and sell the 560m, lol. Did you make a custom fan profile with HWinfo? Maybe all it needed was a better thermal paste job. I have the 580m and even during heavy gaming it never goes above 70C. I do have the CoolerMaster U3 cooling pad, but even without it I just raise the back of the laptop slightly and I never have heat problems.

Mind you it took some experimenting with different custom fanspeed setups before I found the nice medium where the card ran well without crazy fan speeds. Without HWinfo the fans are always going crazy during gaming because it's not letting the temp go above 60C

Also the reason why I say keep the 580m, is because the 580m is pretty much the same card as the 675m... which isn't much less powerful than the 675mx. Just an FYI

    GeForce GTX 580M
    Radeon HD 6990M 3%
    GeForce GTX 675M 4%
    GeForce GTX 670MX 15%
    GeForce GTX 675MX 27%

In terms of fps (bf3 ultra - 1080p)
