currently i have the alienware a8 unlocked bios on my machine, recently i noticed there is a dell a12 bios which is described as this "Alienware M17xR3 system BIOS" and it is classed as reccomended.
is it worth flashing the bios with this or not?

    thanks

IIRC, the A09 BIOS and higher from Dell for the R3 will downgrade your SATA ports from SATA 3 to SATA 2. I believe there are some modded BIOS out there which are based off the A10/A11 BIOS which keep the SATA ports as SATA 3 speeds while fixing the bugs in the BIOS.
