Well I never, I've seen at least three people try the 770m in an R3 and give up. As simple as that (eventually)? Thanks, I'll be crediting you if I'm asked in the future about it.

    Win 7 or 8?

    Hi
Hi mate windows 7, I had difficulty in finding out would it work so once i got it i stuck into it. I had it working in an m15x but the m15x fix did not work. Note a few driver revisions ago had some issues but latest is fine.

I am trying to decide between 770m and 7970m now.

Well... the 7970m has a larger userbase so reliability is known ;), and it may well outperform a 770m?

Nice.. Your'e going to love it! How are you going to deal with warranty problems with Eurocom though? I'm interested in a similar config but was worried about warranty etc...

Well the 770m is sold if anyone is interested, hope this helps m17x r3 owners if they pick one up make sure its the dell one. Should have my 7970m soon but have to say I think the 770m is a great card.

I had used it in an m15x for ages it I play mechwarrior online which is CPU heavy so was always bottlenecked the 2820qm allowed it to flex its muscles and all settings were on very high with 50-70+ fps where as before I resorted to mostly low with 25-40fps.

    Great work!
I'll go ahead and include this on my database for future use, in case someone else needs help with the 770M.
    Thanks a bunch!

The only thing I can see different to what other people may have done to try & get 770M to work in the R3, is that you're running SATA AHCI rather than RAID, but I doubt that would affect it. I don't see why countless others couldn't get it to work, and you managed to get yours to work, do you have any idea what's different?
