I have a USB 3 external hard drive that was being detected and working perfectly fine with this laptop the other day, but now it's not being detected. Opening up disk management, I see this:

It's detecting it, but not assigning it a drive letter or anything, and I can't manually assign one. In the devices and printers, it shows up as a USB 3.0 SATA bridge. Any ideas on how to get this working? It works perfectly fine on another laptop.

Huh, fixed it. I just went into the device manager, uninstalled it, unplugged it, and plugged it back in. That seemed to work just fine. Odd issue.

That could happen with any device. Next time just repeat the same steps. I normally disconnect it and reconnect it a couple of times and do some reboots :p
