I have a problem with my new m17 x4. If listening to music, I hear a 'tearing' sound when performing operations on my PC, such as simply opening a new tab in Chrome browser. The sound will 'tear up' or break apart for a second before returning to normal. Not all the time, but pretty often...

    Anyone else with this problem?

right click on your volume control in your windows tray, hit playback devices, select speakers, then hit select default.

For some reason m17x r3/r4 come from factory with multiple outputs on. I had that problem when mine came with Creative sound drivers pre-installed, and I only have IDT sound. The sound tearing is what I imagine a robot would sound like in an infinite loop.

Hmm. Speakers are default on mine. You've got the sound down pretty accurately though.

That sounds very plausible, Natalia. Netguard deactivated. Thanks! BTW, Alienware is often lauded for no spamware. But I did not have the option to NOT have mcafee suite installed via the homepage. Its going out for sure. If this doesnt solve the problem I'll report back.
