    Hey all,

I'm not too sure of the process myself, so I am hoping someone can shed my light on what my options would be if I rang Dell support over this issue?

I have had my M17x for a couple of weeks, obviously I love it more than life itself. Sadly I have recently find what looks like an inch long "hair" behind the glass of screen. Its only really noticeable against a white background, but once you notice it, it is really hard to ignore. Has anyone else had a similar issue? I am guessing this isn't something I can easily resolve myself without opening the whole thing up?

If I rang Dell to get a screen replacement, how likely would it be that they would send and engineer out to replace the screen? Or would I have to send the whole machine back?

Hmmm i'm not sure I can survive without a PC for a couple of weeks. I think I may just turn to dust. I have a 45min-without-PC-and-i-turn-to-dust-limit

Thanks in advance for any advice,

    Ciao

Give Dell a call and they should send a tech to replace it.

Depends what country you live in. Dell do in home support in most countries. If you live in the USA, UK...... they'll definitely replace it for you whatever day you prefer.

Yup, used it in both those countries (and Canada n Brazil). They will also attend wherever you want. I've had them out to a hotel and my workplace. :D

    Howdy all,

Thanks for all your suggestions. I am from the UK, so hopefully I can get someone to come out and replace it.
    Cheers again for the advice.
