This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Would you trade an I7 26xxm /6870m /8g, R3 for a desktop rig.... Again having i7 2600k and dual gtx580 sli..... Other things are 8gb ram and 500hdd.... I already have a mbp.... So I might be able to be less portable.... The dual gfx cards are tempting

    That desktop would be WAY faster than your alienware, and much easier to upgrade in the future. If you don't need your gaming rig to be portable, it might be worth it to consider.

    Thanks mate....any one else .....the only.....thing...i see...is that i might have to travel in 6 months time (not sure yet ) ...just one super long flight....maybe.....nothignzz finalized...if i get the desktop can i part it out and carry it .
